APRAV Request for Access to Records 2024

Gert Nel Incorporated Attorneys supports APRAV in their pursuit to protect the constitutional rights of road crash victims, to support sensible and sustainable change to the RAF and to coordinate and facilitate strategic issues in the medico-legal industry.

In an effort to keep the public appraised of latest developments, we continue to share the latest correspondence between APRAV and the relevant parties (listed below).

The following email has been issued by APRAV to try and get access to records – the email was also sent to:

  1. The Association for the Protection of Road Accident Victims (“APRAV”) was established in June 2014 and is a non-profit human rights organisation.
  2. We have been very active in following all activities and developments relating to the Department of Transport and the RAF, in the Portfolio Committee since 2014.
  3. Our strategic focus is to protect the constitutional rights of road crash victims, to support sensible and sustainable change to the RAF and to coordinate and facilitate strategic issues in the medico-legal industry.
  4. On 22 October 2022 we made a presentation to the Portfolio Committee on Transport, on Solutions to assist the RAF and to contribute to sensible and sustainable cost saving changes to this Agency. We will gladly make this presentation available to yourself.
