Adèle attained her BProc degree at the UNISA in 1999 and attended the Taxation Course of the Department of Justice in 1995. Adèle worked at the Department of Justice in various capacities such as Public Prosecutor in the Magistrate’s Court, Phalaborwa and Taxing Master of the High Court, Pretoria.

She completed her Articles of Clerkship while attending the Night School for Legal Practice at the Law Society of the Northern Provinces. She received a certificate for outstanding performance in Legal Costs. She was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2003.

Adèle practised for her own account from 2003 to 2017 specializing in Legal Costs, drawing, and taxing bills of cost to recover client’s legal costs from the opposing party upon finalization of litigation. She opposed bills of cost on behalf of clients and attended costs hearings at the Law Society on behalf of clients. She prepared review applications and attended the review hearings where necessary.

Adèle joined the Gert Nel Inc team in January 2018.
